Philip Johnston, managing director of S3 Interactive, said, "The company has gone from strength to strength over the last 2 years. We moved to Clydebank and opened our first UK Support Centre in February 2004 . The combination of highly skilled technicians and engineers in the local area, together with the support from SE Dunbartonshire, has enabled us to grow by 220% in 2 years . The hard work and dedication from all staff is demonstrated by winning the Enterprising Scotland entrepreneurship award.”

Dave Anderson, chief executive, SE Dunbartonshire said: “The awards showcased the incredible depth of talent, enterprise and ambition that exists across Scotland. S3 Interactive richly deserves the recognition and reward it has received and hopefully its success will encourage others to pursue the same level of excellence and entrepreneurship.”

Recycling and repairing mobile phones form a major part of its repair plant activity, located in Clydebank. The resulting products are then exported to countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, France, Germany, India, Pakistan and Eastern Europe.
